What does this mean?

I love to read and so do my kids (genuflecting). But browsing does not get the same attention as a book. If you want to make an impression, how about tickling their eyes and ears? This is not a book. It is a multimedia affair.

We recommend two kinds of audio content. Just like a text website. Your fairly static pages describing who you are and what you do. Then a 'news' section, which you add to on a regular basis. It does not have to be breaking news, just news to your average browser. A chef's site might do a daily or weekly spot on recipes that use the vegtables that are in season. A hardware store might highlight some of the newest home improvement gadgets.

How do I do That?

You can create audio at home pretty easily. We can teach you.  Equipment makes a difference, but the most important thing is that you are genuinely involved in your content, and speak naturally. A little practice will go a long way.  Video is much more difficult to produce; unless you've some experience, get someone to help you with this.

If you are a ways away, find some local talent to help you produce interesting audio and video.  There's a lot of creative people out there that can help you do a great job laying your stuff on tape. If they can optimize it for the web, you can drop it in your website yourself. Otherwise send it to us and we'll package and post it for you.

Pricing for a media rich site starts at the same point as a simple site, about $500. After that it is highly variable, depending on our involvement in creating your media.  Once created (and prepped for the web), you can add the media to your web yourself with our content management system.
